The IEEE student branch of Hassan II University in Casablanca is organizing, alike other IEEE bodies around the world, a day under the theme: "Leveraging Technology for a Better Tomorrow: Intelligent Transportation for Smart Cities", which will bring light on intelligent transportation applications in urban mobility and logistics.
This is the tenth anniversary of IEEE Day, and will take place on October 1st, 2019 at the convention center of the National Higher School of Electricity and Mechanics (ENSEM). IEEE Day is a global event held on the first Tuesday of October each year.
This worldwide event aims to show the wealth of ideas and efforts of IEEE members. It also aims to honor the roles that IEEE members play in their local communities and their work for the purpose to create new technologies for the benefit of humanity. It allows assembling other members of IEEE community and sharing their experiences. This day is a part of the 2019-2020 agenda of the IEEE student branch of UH2C and seeks to bring together IEEE members as well as students and PhD students of Hassan II University, academics, entrepreneurs and engineers. Our local branch has chosen to talk about smart mobility as a major factor for the development of smart cities. This day will be an opportunity to gather around this theme actors and stakeholders of smart mobility and discover the latest innovations in the field. Operators in urban mobility and logistics will be speaking to discuss their problems, exhibit their innovative solutions and share their perspectives.
