What is the IEEE CIST 2014 Young ICT Entrepreneur Award?
The IEEE CIST 2014 Young ICT Entrepreneur Award recognize and award exceptional entrepreneurial young male or female leaders who serve as role models to Morocco's aspiring entrepreneurs and demonstrate business excellence, innovation and profitability. The contest rewards Moroccan IT entrepreneurs aged under 40 whose company propose innovative IT solutions and services to ensure sustainability and growth.
The objectives of the IEEE CIST 2014 Young Entrepreneur Awards are to:
• Create a platform to spotlight and celebrate ICT business excellence in Morocco
• Build a strong network of Moroccan young ICT entrepreneurs as role models and a source of best practice
• Promote ICT entrepreneurship as a driving force for Morocco’s economic prosperity
• Encourage aspiring entrepreneurs to embrace the challenges and rewards of ICT entrepreneurship
• Attract potential prospects and stakeholders towards ICT project proposals.
How to apply
1) First, think about your hopes for the future of your business. Are you at a turning point or a decisive moment in its history?
2) Get your application ready by preparing an executive summary in which you explain the turning point your company is facing, as well as the solution you want to implement to ensure its growth. Talk more about the future than the present.
Eligibility
The IEEE CIST 2014 Young ICT Entrepreneur Award contest is open to applicants and businesses that meet all the following requirements as of October 31, 2014. In addition, the young entrepreneur is required to register and attend the conference, and make a presentation of his company core business.
Applicants must:
• Male or female under 40 years old
• Be Moroccan citizens
• Have been responsible for the company's day-to-day management for a minimum of 18 months
The business must:
• Be registered in Morocco
• Have its head office in Morocco
• Have been in operation under the applicant's day-to-day management for at least 18 months
• Be in good financial health and be reasonably expected to be successful. The business must be solvent (as inferred from its operating revenues, the nature and composition of its assets and liabilities and its ability to sustain its financial viability over the next 12 to 18 months).
The Finalists are judged by a panel of leading business experts based on the following criteria:
• Sustainability and ICT innovation
• Profitability and growth
• Long-term business strategy
• Leadership, culture and values
• Investment in R&D
• Social and economic impact on communities
